Over the many years that Metro Ready Mix has been in service,
the company has been recognized for numerous projects
and events. Our dedication to quality concrete from dedicated
and professional people continually puts our company,
as well as our customers, in the positive eye of the public
and the industry.
In 2005, the National Ready Mix Concrete Association
(NRMCA) awarded their National
Commitment to Environmental Excellence Award,
Second Place, to our Gallatin
Plant. This was second place nationally.

Environmental Mission Statement
The Team here at Metro Ready Mix understands the
importance of maintaing a
"Clean and Green" Environment. We feel
that it is our responsibility to do our
part in the community to maintain the environment.
Therefore, we have set high
standards for ourselves and hold ourselves to strict
accountability.
We will:
- Maintain clean, safe and
attractive plant sites utilizing trees,
shrubbery and foliage whenever possible.
- Maintain clean, safe and
attractive trucks that are operated in
a courteous and responsible manner.
- Control air emissions
and fugitive dust.
- Control and conserve water.
- Do our part to maintain
safety and cleanliness at our customer's job sites.
- Do our part to maintain
safety and cleanliness on roadways and public
areas.
By being a member of the
team, we mutually agree to hold ourselves individually
and collectively accountable to these standards.
We must preserve the environment, not only for ourselves
but for future generations as well.

Metro Ready Mix has numerous plants recognized
each year for SAFETY EXCELLENCE
. . .
- In 2002, 3
of our plants were awarded the NRMCA annual Excellence
in Safety Award.
- In 2003, 5
of our plants received the NRMCA's Excellence in Safety
Award.
- In 2004, 11
of our plants in the Middle Tennessee area received this
annual award.
- In 2005, 12
of our plants won the Excellence in Safety Award.
- In 2006, again 12 of our ready mix plants won this award.

you can see, this number continues to rise each year!

It is the policy of Metro Ready Mix to provide
the safest possible working conditions for our employees.
Safety is our number one value, and the employees
are our number one asset. We care about safety because
we care about our employees, while they are with
us at work, as well as when they are at home with
their families.
Accidents are extremely costly to the employees,
their families, as well as to the company. An outstanding
safety performance does not occur by chance, but
rather being the result of hard work, commitment,
and dedication. Safety is a joint responsibility
and requires the active participation of both the
company and it's employees.
Our expectations are very high. Threrefore, safety
is a condition of employment with our company. Each
employee is expected to use personal protective
and safety equipment that is provided. Always remember
that no task is so important or urgent that we cannot
take time to perform our work in as safe a manner
as possible.
