Metro Ready Mix was established in 1982. The original assets were purchased with the intent to be used in the Paducah, KY area by our sister company, Federal Materials. However, after careful market analysis of the Middle Tennessee area, showing a strong future for a well run ready mix operation, Metro Ready Mix was formed. Metro Ready Mix opened for business in October of 1982 in Nashville with 6 ready mix trucks and high expectations of growing and becoming the area's leading ready mix producer.

Over the past 20 plus years, Metro Ready Mix has continued to expand, primarily through the purchase of ideally located regional competitors and adding trucks to the growing number of plants in operation. By 2000, MRM had numerous ready mix plants around Middle Tennessee and a fleet of trucks, both front and rear discharge, capable of supplying mass amounts of concrete anywhere in Middle Tennessee.

Metro Ready Mix employs in excess of 200 team members and has and continues to make significant contributions to the community it serves. Sales have increased substantially over the years and MRM looks forward to the continued growth of Nashville and it's many surrounding areas. Being involved in nearly every major construction/concrete related project over the past 20 years in the area, we are proud to be a part of an organization, which continues to remain a leader in the ready mix concrete industry. Receiving numerous Concrete Excellence Awards from the Tennessee Concrete Association (TCA) and being recognized by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), as well as other major concrete associations are proof of this.

In addition to ready mixed concrete, MRM became involved in concrete and construction products sales during the continued growing period. With over 1000 different products, from rebar and wire mesh to color products and sealers, most any type of product can be provided. Our three products warehouses are located in Nashville, Lavergne and Hendersonville respectively. Also, with one of our downtown plants being located on the Cumberland River, MRM's barge unloading facility is able to handle large amounts of sand and gravel. Today the materials handling and the products divisions have grown to produce a significant portion of sales for Metro Ready Mix. We believe providing as many necessary items for the customer, and providing "One-Stop Shopping" fits well in our industry.

Since 1982, Metro Ready Mix has grown far beyond its expectations within a relatively short amount of time. Spending time partnering with customers, as well as team members has continued to push our company into the future. We attribute MRM's growth to our basic philosophy of providing all customers with quality products and services by the best people in the business, while maintaining a culture of honesty and teamwork.
